Our Father God is holy, loving, merciful, gentle, compassionate and good. He created man in His image and for His pleasure. Yet, man (through Adam and Eve) sinned against God. They chose their own way by eating the fruit of the tree God told them not to. Then Adam and Eve had to leave the Garden of Eden. We choose our own way, just as they did, and displease our Heavenly Father. This creates a chasm between God and us because He does not tolerate sin today any more than He did in the beginning.

God loved us so much that He gave His only (perfect) Son to die for our sin on the cross, for the wages of sin is death. Jesus paid for our sin with His life so we wouldn’t have to. Whoever believes in Him will not die but have eternal life. Whoever confesses with his mouth and believes in his heart that Jesus is Lord will be saved. Jesus said no one can snatch us out of His hand.

Through salvation we experience God’s amazing love, joy in our hearts, peace for our souls and a glorious hope for tomorrow. If this is your desire, tell God through a simple prayer, which includes these things:

  • Admit you have not lived according to God’s commands.
  • Believe that Jesus died for the forgiveness of your sins and to give you eternal life.
  • Confess Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and ask Him to help you live a life pleasing to Him.

If you prayed this prayer, make time each day to read a Bible you understand, starting with the book of John in the New Testament. Pray by saying the name of Jesus. Thank Him for His great love for you and begin to share the cares of your life with Him, knowing He truly cares for you.

For God so loved the world, that he gave is only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him fron the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
